IAMCP WIT talks Intelligent Solutions and Company Culture with Vanessa Ferguson, Global VP of People & Experiences at LiveTiles
LiveTiles is a proud Sponsor of this year’s IAMCP Women in Technology (WIT) Charity Luncheon at Microsoft Inspire 2018. Co-founded by Karl Redenbach and Peter Nguyen-Brown and headquartered in New York City, LiveTiles crafts “software solutions that prioritize the human experience, without compromising functionality,” according to Vanessa Ferguson, Global Vice President of People and Experience at LiveTiles.
IAMCP WIT had a lively discussion with Vanessa about the company’s solutions, corporate culture and mission. Vanessa was LiveTiles’ first employee and played an essential part in not only in laying the foundations of but also protecting the company’s extraordinary culture, while rapidly expanding an efficient global team.
Vanessa described LiveTiles’ offerings as a unique user experience for the Microsoft stack, which enables organizations to easily create engaging solutions. With LiveTiles’ ease of use, workers have more time to focus on what they do best.
“We often live a reactive work life, instead of focusing on exciting new strategies,” Vanessa stated. LiveTiles solutions aim to make work processes more efficient and free up time for people to focus on things that really matter.
On the potential opposition between AI technology and experience-building software in the enterprise, Vanessa referred to LiveTiles’ own AI philosophy: that AI shouldn’t replace but complement and enhance human skill and impact in the workplace.
The focus on intelligence and ease of use is the basis of LiveTiles’ single-product offerings – LiveTiles Design and LiveTiles Bots—as well as the more comprehensive LiveTiles Intelligent Workplace. LiveTiles’ solutions offer an elegant front-end design for pages, portals or corporate intranets built in Microsoft Azure and Microsoft Office 365.
According to Vanessa, she and the company’s leadership have a broad vision for LiveTiles to revolutionize how humans interact with technology by focusing on the human element. LiveTiles was recently awarded the Microsoft US Partner Award for Modern Workplace Transformation, and LiveTiles Bots won this year’s AIconics Best Application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the Enterprise award.
Vanessa is proud to be a WIT member, and to engage with the community to get more women into the technology space—in all positions, from pure technology to executives, sales and other roles.
“LiveTiles wants to connect with women in technology in general to extend the network, attract talent and establish collaborative partnerships,” she said.
We’re thrilled that LiveTiles has honored IAMCP WIT with their sponsorship, and we look forward to seeing them at Microsoft Inspire!
